Laser Skin Resurfacing
We offer laser skin resurfacing in Calgary and Airdrie utilizing the Sciton® JOULE™, an innovative system that offers exceptional results with minimal downtime. The Sciton system can treat vascular and pigmented lesions (skin redness), wrinkles, acne, acne scars, and other skin blemishes. In addition, the system can give you firmer skin and has the ability to treat large areas efficiently and effectively.
During Airdrie and Calgary laser skin resurfacing procedures, Dr. McWhirter uses a carefully controlled laser beam to remove damaged layers of skin and/or target deeper layers of skin to promote the body's natural restoration processes. Shallow penetration is used for eliminating fine lines, rejuvenating tired-looking skin or removing discolorations like sun-spots. Deep penetration is used for improving skin texture and tone as well as eliminating deeper wrinkles, even in troublesome areas such as around the mouth and eyes. Dr. McWhirter can adjust the laser to target the deep or shallow layers of your skin to meet your cosmetic goals. Sometimes, an anti-wrinkle injectable such as BOTOX® in Calgary, may also be recommended for additional enhancements.
